The kitchen serves many purposes but its primary function is to bring your family, friends, and loved ones together to make memories that last a lifetime. Think of all the reasons you spend time in the kitchen – cooking meals, baking birthday cakes, enjoying long talks at the table over dinner, spending late nights finishing class projects and homework.

Every kitchen renovation project starts with design. Without a smart strategy towards designing a functional and efficient kitchen space, you aren’t going to accomplish what you’ve set out to achieve. Our design team is ready to help you create the kitchen you’ve always wanted and this part of the job can take between one and two weeks to complete, based on the size and scope of the kitchen you have in mind.
Maybe that vision for your kitchen is clear or you just know what you don’t want or don’t like. Either way, we’re here to help you sort it all out.
You will work with one of our project managers for the duration of the project. That means you won’t have to reach out to multiple contractors and design and remodeling departments to get the kitchen you want. We do it all in-house, which keeps your kitchen remodeling costs down and allows us to provide you with the top quality materials and craftsmanship that have been the cornerstone of our continued success.
The design phase concludes with our team creating a 3D rendering of your new kitchen so you can actually see how it will look when the job is finished.
The preparation phase of the project gets started when your project manager comes to visit your home and takes measurements of every inch and corner of your current kitchen. During this process, ask questions, offer ideas, or bring up any other concerns or preferences for your kitchen. This can include additional storage or you just want to try a new color to see what it might look like in your home. Now is the time to ask as many questions as you wish while we’re walking through your existing space.
After all of the pertinent measurements and specifications are gathered, we put all of this information into our computer to build an updated 3D rendering of the project. You’ll see everything that is part of your kitchen renovation, including the surfaces, countertops, backsplash, fixtures, handles, paint color, everything you want in the kitchen fully visible in an accurate depiction of how your kitchen will look when the project is complete.
We want you to love your new remodeled kitchen so if there is anything you don’t like or would like to change, be sure to tell us and we will make any adjustments as you instruct, down to the smallest detail. Change your mind about the color or want to upgrade the countertop surface? Just tell your project manager you want those changes made to the 3D model so your renovated kitchen looks exactly as you have envisioned.
Once you are fully satisfied and you are ready to start construction, you will sign off on the design, make your initial payment, and we will order all of the project materials needed, and schedule a date to come to your home and begin construction on your brand new kitchen.
It’s important that you read through any current rules and regulations of your HOA or condominium board in case you are required to have your kitchen renovation or remodel pre-approved before we arrive. Those approvals must be obtained in full prior to the start of construction.
After that step is complete – if required – you just leave the rest to us, we will make sure to secure all required permits and building materials to start construction on your new kitchen.
Using the approved three-dimensional rendering for your new kitchen, our team arrives to begin construction on your new kitchen for a full-service restoration that starts with taking your appliances out of the space. Any appliances that are getting replaced are removed from the home entirely.
Next, we start the demolition of your kitchen. That means we take out all of your current cabinets, countertops, flooring, backsplash, anything that has been identified for replacement is removed from your kitchen space. We also update any electrical and plumbing lines and systems that need to be upgraded or converted.
If need be, walls are taken out or patched up after removal of the main components in the space. Your new cabinets, new flooring, new backsplash, new surfaces, new lighting and new plumbing and fixtures, are all installed.
After construction is finished, the kitchen is painted and detailed. We then install new appliances, replace your current appliances, hooking everything up and ensuring that it all works as expected.
All of the components of your new kitchen remodel are covered under warranty. NYC Kitchen and Bath offers a one-year warranty for all labor. Most of the components, from the building materials to the appliances, are each covered by their own separate warranties. Some of them come with a warranty of five years or more with full protection against material or manufacturing defects, others offer a lifetime warranty that has you covered for as long as you own the materials or appliances installed in your kitchen.

Every kitchen renovation project is different because every client has different tastes, different goals, and different budgets. What one customer wants for his or her kitchen renovation may be very different from what another customer hires us to deliver for them. With that said, the average kitchen renovation project can take anywhere from six to eight weeks to complete based on the size and scope of the job. Your project manager will furnish you with an approximate timeline of the work to be performed, offering deadlines for each phase of the process, and updates on how the work is coming along.
Yes, kitchen renovation projects often require permits and inspections in order to complete the work, especially for jobs where electrical and plumbing systems need to be upgraded or replaced. Our team is responsible for securing all permits needed and scheduling inspections required for completing the renovation in accordance with the law.
Yes. However, it’s important to know that while we make every effort to keep the levels of dust, noise, and other disruptions to a minimum so you and your family remain comfortable during the renovation process, you will not have access to your kitchen until the project is finished. Keep in mind, this could take weeks or months, so we do advise that you make alternate plans for preparing and storing food during that time.
If such products are available, we are more than happy to accommodate your request for using energy-efficient appliances and products made from sustainable materials in your renovation project. Speak with your project manager, ask about eco-friendly options that are appropriate for your kitchen remodel during the consultation phase. Remember, we want to make sure that you are fully satisfied with your new kitchen.
