One kitchen remodeling team keeps track of all your specifications and preferred materials and products so if you have any questions or wish to make any changes, you simply speak directly with your assigned project manager to make the necessary adjustments to your kitchen renovation design.
The construction stage of your renovation journey takes all of the separate components which you have identified as important facets of your new kitchen and we build a 3D rendering of the kitchen to give you an accurate depiction of how it will look when the job is finished.
But first, one of our project managers will come to your home to take measurements of the space, discuss any further ideas for expansion or additions to the kitchen such as an island or extra storage you would like to include as part of your kitchen remodel. Got questions? Feel free to ask while we’re walking through your existing space and we will review all of the elements you want for your renovated kitchen.
Now that we have all of the measurements and specifications for your new kitchen, we enter the information into our computer to build the 3D rendering of the space. You’ll see everything we discussed including the countertops, backsplash, the surfaces, materials, fixtures, handles, all of the essential elements and tiny details.
We want you to love your new remodeled kitchen so don’t be shy about telling us what you like and what you don’t like, down to the smallest detail. If you are pleased with the layout and ready to proceed, we will ask for your initial payment, all of the materials are ordered, and we schedule a date to begin construction of your brand new kitchen remodel.
Be sure to review the rules and regulations of your condo board or HOA to see if any of these plans need to be pre-approved before we arrive.
After that, leave everything to us, we will secure all of the building materials and necessary permits to begin construction on your new kitchen.
Using the 3D rendering you’ve approved, our team will go to work, providing a full-service restoration that starts with relocating any appliances that are staying in the room. From there, we begin the demolition of your kitchen, removal of the current cabinets, countertops, flooring, anything and everything that we are going to replace. Electrical and plumbing lines and systems are updated or converted.
Walls are knocked down or patched up, new extensions or spaces of incoming windows are created and the first stage of the new construction begins. Once complete, new cabinets, new flooring, new backsplash, new surfaces, new lighting and new plumbing and fixtures, all of it is installed throughout the second stage of your kitchen renovation.
The last stage is when we put in your new appliances or hook up and return your current appliances to their positions and paint or detail the kitchen to give it the finishing touch.
All of the components of your new kitchen remodel are covered under warranty. NYC Kitchen and Bath offers a one-year warranty for all labor. Most of the components, from the building materials to the appliances, are each covered by their own separate warranties. Some of them come with a warranty of five years or more with full protection against material or manufacturing defects, others offer a lifetime warranty that has you covered for as long as you own the materials or appliances installed in your kitchen.
The following are some of the most common questions we get from our customers. Please read these FAQs so you can get a better idea of what’s in store for you before and after your brand new kitchen is finished and ready to become the heart of your home.
Every kitchen renovation project is different as the client will have specific desired results and expectations to be met. But the average renovation can take between six to eight weeks based on the size and complexity of the job. We will provide you with a timeline of the work to be performed and deadlines for each phase of the process.
Most kitchen renovation projects do require permits and inspections, particularly for jobs where electrical and plumbing systems are to be upgraded or replaced. Our team will obtain permits and schedule inspections that are required for completing your kitchen renovation.
Yes, we take every precaution to reduce dust, noise, and other disruptions to help you and your family remain comfortable during the renovation process. Keep in mind, you will not have access to your kitchen until the renovations are complete and since this could take weeks or months, we advise that you have an alternative method for preparing food during that time.
We can accommodate this request with energy-efficient appliances and products made from sustainable materials when available. Be sure to discuss the importance of using eco-friendly options in your kitchen remodel with your product manager during the consultation phase to ensure you are completely satisfied with your new kitchen.
Homeowners who choose to remodel the kitchen in their homes can see a return on investment that can be anywhere from a third to one half of their spend on the project. But a variety of factors play a role in that recoupment such as the region where the home is located, the strength of the market at the time of sale, and other contributing aspects.
You can rest assured, however, that a kitchen remodel can do wonders for your sale price and even if you don’t plan on selling the home now, you can still reap the benefits by enjoying the functionality and efficiency of your new kitchen for as long as you live in the home.
