Designing Your New Kitchen
This first phase of your kitchen renovation project involves the creation of the kitchen you’ve always wanted. We work with you to build a three-dimensional rendering of your new kitchen taking into account all of your specifications, preferences, and other essential factors for realizing your specific vision of the perfect dream kitchen. This three-dimensional rendering will let you visualize how your kitchen will look when the project is finished. We want to make sure that you fall in love with your new kitchen from the first time you see it. Preparing to Construct Your New Kitchen
01. Take measurements of the space
The next stage of the kitchen renovation project starts with your NYC Kitchen and Bath project manager coming to your home, taking measurements and gathering all of the important data about the space where your kitchen currently exists. Keep asking questions, offering ideas, and consider any major changes to the renovation plan now. Maybe you want to add some extra storage space or shelving, perhaps you want to change the color of the cabinets, or you may have your heart set on adding more components that you weren’t sure about incorporating into the design before.
02. Build the 3D rendering of the space
Once we take all of the measurements and apply your specifications to your kitchen renovation project, we update the 3D rendering of the space so you are able to explore the latest version of your new kitchen renovation including the cabinets, flooring, countertops, the backsplash, surfaces, fixtures, handles, all of it – from the major essentials to the tiny details.
03. Discuss and feedback
If everything looks good and you love everything from the colors and patterns to the surfaces and materials that make up the project, then we are ready to proceed to the next phase of the project.
At this time, you will be requested to make an initial payment on the project and we will obtain all of the building and project materials needed for the project. We’ll schedule a date that is convenient for you to have our team come to the home and start construction on your brand new dream kitchen.
Important! If your home must be compliant with condominium board or HOA rules, you must ensure that your planned kitchen renovation does not violate any rules or regulations or if the plan must be approved by the board prior to the start of work. However, if you do not have to remain in compliance with any boards of homeowner associations, then we can proceed with the project, securing all necessary building materials and obtaining the necessary permits to start work on the project.
Building Your New Kitchen
Constructing your new kitchen starts by removing and relocating your kitchen appliances. If they are all staying, they will be relocated and returned once the job is finished. If they are being replaced, they will be removed. After that, our crew starts the demolition portion of the construction phase, your countertops, fixtures, flooring, cabinets, everything that is being replaced is first taken out.
Walls are knocked down or repaired if needed, spaces made for any new windows that are being installed, and any electrical or plumbing systems are updated or converted in accordance with the project.
After the demolition portion is complete, we begin installation of your new kitchen components. Countertops and surfaces, cabinets, flooring, backsplash, new fixtures, whatever the project calls for using the 3D rendering as the model for your new kitchen.
Once construction is complete, the kitchen is painted and detailed with the final step of your appliances being returned and hooked up in the areas where they belong.
All you have to do now is enjoy your brand new dream kitchen.
Construction and Product Warranties
All of the components of your new kitchen remodel are covered under warranty. NYC Kitchen and Bath offers a one-year warranty for all labor. Most of the components, from the building materials to the appliances, are each covered by their own separate warranties. Some of them come with a warranty of five years or more with full protection against material or manufacturing defects, others offer a lifetime warranty that has you covered for as long as you own the materials or appliances installed in your kitchen.

But while we make every effort to reduce the level of dust, noise, and other potential interferences or disruptions to keep you and your family comfortable while our team is in your home during the renovation process, you will not have any access to your kitchen once the work has started. We recommend that you secure alternate food prep and storage arrangements during the renovation process.
